Hebrews 13:2 (KJV): Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
I've had one known encounter with an angel (at the time I did not know he was an angel).
I've had many revelations in dreams and in other ways for instance:
I fell to sleep one night reading my Bible, my voice woke me, it was reading to me...It continued reading to me where I left off as I slept...Now that was a head shaker! and another....
When I first gave my life to the Lord, I tried to convince my family of written truth, particularly my mother...she would not hear! I would toss and turn in my bed trying to figure out how to convince her..one night while I was thinking of how to convince her, I heard a voice in my right ear say:
"Nothing has to be justified to man, you are doing the right thing, keep doing it"!
I no longer try to convince anyone, I just speak the word and move on if it is rejected..I know I convince no man, God does the convincing, He's taught me that.
I've had so many other supernatural things happen in my life, far too many to list here.....
So when you say you have had encounters with angels and have dreamed dreams with spiritual messages, I believe you!
I have too!

I encountered two for certain.
One day it was snowing so terribly here in Pittsburgh that the bus service was 8 to 10 hours behind schedule.
That same day, I recieved tickets to a college basketball game for the Pitt Panthers and I never seen them play.
I didn't want to turn down her tickets because my boss was the president.
I began with my husband towards the bus stop.
This fellow came from out of nowhere. Never seen him in the neighborhood before and he just appeared.
He looked at my husband and said, "Do not go downtown and do not catch a bus anywhere out in that direction because you will not make it back".
He never once looked at me (as most men usually do, Not trying to exaggerate my looks or anything).... and he continued going his way.
We looked at each other just out of instinct and stopped right in the middle of the tunnel.
We turned around and looked back and he was absolutely nowhere.....
We walked back up the street and looked in every direction and never saw that fellow again.
When we got back home, the news was on and they said that it would be a terrible hardship if anyone was to travel to town. They said the busses had stopped running from town and if need be, not to leave the house unless it is absolutely necessary.
Before we made it home, both my husband and I immediately came to the conclusion that we had encountered an angel.
OH: and I also had an angel stand by my bed and call my name 3 times as he did to Samuel in the old testament 1 Sam 3:3-5....

Ginger,

I have not personally but, I believe my son did.
It was a stormy night with a lot of thunder and lightening. He was only about 5 years old and scared to death and started crying. We told him everything will be ok, it was just a storm and would be over soon. After a bit he came into our bedroom and told us he saw a man in the window that was nice and all white and shiny, he describe to us what may have been wings. He said he was no longer afraid and the "angel" left. Our bedrooms were on the second floor.
We believe with all our heart that God heard a frieghtened little boy and God sent an angel to comfort him.
What would you think?

I am not what you would call religious, but here goes.
In 1986 I was a youg soldier in the US Army's Airborne Course. I was getting ready to make my first parachute jump out of a C141 aircraft at about 1500 ft. This was something I wanted to do more than anything else......but ironically enough I was petrified of heights. Always had been.
Just as we took off from the runway, the jumpmasters opened the rear exits of the aircraft and began to prepare for our jump. The trip from the airfield to the drop-zone wasn't long at all.
The engine noise was overwhelming, wind rushed in to the belly of the plane and I can't hear one damn thing the jumpmaster is telling us.
Okay, so I figure its time to get panicky.
However, I get this feeling of absolute calm come over me and I know (for whatever reason) that my grandfather is right there on the plane with me.
I had never known the man, he died at the end of WW2 after suffering from injuries he got in WW1. I had only ever seen a picture of him in uniform.
I don't know if he decided to say hi because I was feeling stressed or if maybe it was one old soldier coming to comfort a young buck, but either way it happened.
I have never felt that again.

As I understand the Bible, if you had an encounter with angels you wouldn't know it.
Hebrews 13:2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

angels definitely exist; they aren't simply good people, and they are greater than we are. The Bible says, "What is man that you are mindful of him? ... You made him a little lower than the angels" (Hebrews 2:6-7).
Angels are a separate category of spiritual beings, created by God as His special messengers or helpers. They have many responsibilities, but one of their major tasks is to watch over God's people: "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14). Although they seldom take visible form, they are constantly involved in the ongoing conflict between good and evil. In the last days, Jesus said, "The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous" (Matthew 13:49).
While the Bible doesn't give us details about their origin, it seems that angels existed before the world was created, and through all eternity they will continue to serve and praise God. We are not to worship them, however, for only God is worthy of our worship (see Revelation 22:8-9).
Thank God for His angels, and for their watchful care over us; they are a sign of God's continuing love. But the greatest sign of God's love is Christ, for He alone went to the cross for our salvation. Is your hope in Him?

Yes. Remember that there are two types: God's messangers who ONLY obey the commands of God, and then there are demons who are the fallen angels and come to destruct.
My son saw demons as wolves when he was 3 and they terrified him, but he has since then (after I gave my heart to Jesus) been aware of the presence of God's angels.
