A cactus is good.....you only need to water it once a week, and doesn't require too much sunlight to grow well and beautifully.

A variety of plants can do well indoors without direct sunlight. Few or none will do well without some sort of light. Thus, I think this question is asking for plants to grow in a bright room, or near a window, etc.

Some Spathiphyllum selections do well indoors in places that don't receive direct sunlight. Typically, these houseplants are sold as Peace Lilies.

Sansevieria plants can be very attractive, espeically those with cylindrical leaves. These plants go under the general term of "mother-in-law's tongue." However, some types are more attractive than others and those with cylindrical leaves are very attractive, especially if they have some variegation.

Generally, low-light plants are slow growing. Though they tolerate low light levels, they often enjoy being placed outside in warmer weather for a few weeks (not in sun) to get a bit more light.
