Wow, no way! A scientific theory is based on observable, empirical evidence, is subject to the principles of reasoning, and is falsifiable and make testable predictions. Evolution by Natural Selection is supported by a massive, overwhelming body of evidence across science, follows clear reasoning, and it is falsifiable (but hasn't been), and makes copious testable predictions. It's as proven as anything can be in Science. It is effectively proven.
Creation is NOT science. Any and all evidence that could possibly be found, fits the 'theory'. It makes no predictions. Further it does not follow principles of reasoning. It takes the conclusion first and then cherry-picks evidence to support it, and it is based on gaping logical fallacies, such as argument from incredularity ("irreducible complexity").
So Creation does not deserve to be called a theory, or even an hypothesis (since its not testable). The kindest way to describe it is religion.

Creation is a theory in laymans terms. Evolution is a scientific theory with evidence (despite what creationists will have you believe), facts and observations included in it.
This stupid debate is as bad as the one regarding the Earth being the centre of the solar system. People need to stop living in the past and open their minds.

"Creation" as you mean it, is not a theory. It is a belief. It is not science. Evolution has a huge body of evidence to support the theory. We know that organisms adapt to their environment. We can prove it in a lab. Many religious people can accept evolution as part of God's design and don't need to take the Bible literally. They can see that God's "day" in the beginning could have been millions of years. So the understanding and acceptance of science does not preclude faith and belief in a higher power or a creator. In fact, the more one knows science, the more awesome the structure of the universe and human existence.

No. A theory is a hypothesis that has been both not proven wrong, and supported with evidence, observation, study and experimentation. Evolution has done this, so it is a theory. Creationism only fits the first part (not being disproved). But it hasn't been supported with any science. So it is a hypothesis, not a theory.

I've always felt that arguing Creation vs. Evolution is pointless. Christians discount evolution and what "evidence" there is for it, and Evolutionists discount creation and what "evidence" there is for it.
Usually these arguments turn into personal grudge matches, and never end up solving anything.
Yes, most Christians feel creation is proven and evolution is false. Bear in mind that evolutionists say the exact opposite.

From a scientific perspective, then I would say yes. However, just as the evolutionists are so convinced that they are right, I would just as vehemently state that Creation and the Global Flood are true.
Funny thing is that much of the Creationist's evidence is the exact same as what is used by Evolutionists. It's all a matter of presuppositions while interpreting the data.

isnt it already ?
i say this as a believer in creation .... but being a believer suggests that one needs to believe ... therfore making it an unproven theory
im fine with admitting this
as long as we remember of course the same stands for evolution

"concept" does not in good shape creationism, with the aid of fact the inspiration of creationism is in basic terms believing something written in a e book for which there is not any data in any admire, and then attempting to construct data around that perception. concept interior the scientific sense pertains to careful scrutiny and diagnosis, coping with data particularly than delusion.

Creation is common sense. Wherever you see design there's got to be a designer. That's just common sense. It's like Paly once said. He said that if you're walking along in a forest and you find a wrist watch that keeps perfect time, the only logical conclusion is that it was designed. Everywhere in the universe there is design. Just look around you. Anything that is living is infinitely complex. An atheist has to say what Richard Dawkins says, namely, that there is no real design in the universe.....just the appearance of design. In your brain there are 100 billion neurons. Each one of those neurons(remember, there's 100 billion of them) is connected to 1000 other neurons. That comes out to 100 trillion connections in your brain. These connections send electronic signals(and you can measure the electricity) from one place to another. If part of the brain is damaged and you lose some function that is controlled by that part of the brain, the brain can actually re-wire itself and let other neurons in the undamaged part of the brain take over so that you can get back that function. That's only the connections in the brain, not the rest of the body.
Our bodies also have tons of information in the DNA. You have enough information in your DNA to fill encyclopedia sized books stacked from here to the moon and back 500 times. Do you really think that came about by just random chance........kind of like a monkey typing out the works of Shakespear just by randomly plucking away at the keys?
You need to step back and look at the big picture of what is being claimed by evolution, namely, that the unbelieveable complexity of the human brain(not to mention the rest of the body) is nothing more than re-arranged pond scum. It’s pond scum from the original prebiotic soup re-arranged over billions of years into 100 trillion connections in the brain by luck…..just random chance.
You just can't logically and realistically deny that there's design all through the universe. It's all around you. You have to be blind not to see it. There are branches of science that basically just study the design in nature.........scientific disciplines such as nano-technology and bio-mimetrics. These disciplines study the design in nature.......whales,bats,dolphins have sonar.......and try to create machines that mimic that design. Everywhere you look there's design. Where there's design there's got to be a designer. That's just common sense. Creation is not an unproven theory. It's a common sense fact that we come to by just using a little logic and reason.

Scientifically, creation and evolution "theory" carry equal amounts of weight in the scientific community, both are falsifiable, and both provide "factual answers". Many people are generally unaware of what "theory" really means. For instance, the theory of gravity, although we observe it all around us, it povides answers, it still remains a theory!
Personally i believe in the litteral creation as described in the book of Genesis, since NONE of it can be proven wrong, i support this theory absolutely.
God Bless
