use germolene, it will help soften and smooth the rough edges, and help resotre your skin to a healthy, glowing state that they were once in. it is best to apply as you go to bed, apply a fair amount and allow it to sink in over night, it will take up to a week to see and feel the difference, but it will be worth it. (tip; but a towel at the bottom of the bed an rest your feet on it once the germolene is applied and cover with the remainder of the towel, to avoid discomfort whilst sleeping.)

When I was doing voluntary work in Nepal I was doing heaps of walking and had access to limited medical supplies, so when my heels were really cracked I tried iodine solution, the only vaguely suitable thing I had. I was amazed at how well it worked, they heeled so quickly, I mentioned it to a friend who's Dad has a sheep farm in the Isle of Skye, and she wasn't surprised, saying that they used it when they docked the lambs tails. You will prob need to ask the prob need to ask the pharmacist for it, but it's ever so cheap!

Get a foot file from Body Shop and some Flexitol Heel balm. Work really well. Alternatively soak them in salt water (in bath) - seems to help when on holiday so must work at home!

Just solved this proble myself - I got some 'Scholl Heel Repair' cream from local chemist. It's fantastic and within a week you can see a huge difference.
