You may have some unresolved concerns. Try to seek resolution.

Generally, concentrate on pleasant things. Read an uplifting book. Don't watch excessively violent television or movies.

Eat a light meal and let it settle for an hour or so before bedtime. Also, try a hot bath before bedtime.

Sleep late so that you are tired enough to not have a dream while you are sleeping. Do that for a few days and the nightmares will probably go away...

I am not sure if it will work, my stupid theories...

Well...this question can be placed into many other areas other than 'mental health'. However, the fact that it is placed under "mental health" strikes an interesting note. Perhaps you are, technically speaking, having mental problems. The solveable, temporary mental issues that, if resolved will probably wash away those nightmares. Consult a friend/counselor.

Don't eat too much before sleeping.

Keep your mind relaxed, as alot of mind activities before sleep can cause dream. Perhaps listen to some relaxing music, free your mind from the day's hustle, or read a book.

I've heard that when one has dirt inside the nose, the tendency to have nightmares is more. I don't know how far this is true, but it is something you should definetely try. Clean your nose before going to bed every night.

Good Luck!
