I was kicked out of catholic preschool.
But I do know this much.
We are supposed to pray to Jesus because he was Jehovah's(God) avatar in the human form.
Allegedly God is a being of different dimensional considerations than what it is to be human.
Therefore, Jesus was sent to earth to mediate for man's misgivings to God's will. Jesus was not directly supposed to be God himself in the flesh, but one who was partially devine himself and also mortal in that he would communicate man's folly back to God and condone man's confessions and scapegoat man for his imperfections so that he could still conceive of God.
Jesus is supposed to be the middle man to heaven in all forms of Christianity I am aware of. God is something to respect and fear. God is something that we cannot name or judge or even begin to think we can understand his will.
Jesus is our agent to the devine.
When it comes to praying to Mary?
That is just another hypocrisy of the Catholic church, because its not actually a monotheism because we have established so many other little deities such as Mary, and the Saints and even named Angels. It flat out makes no sense. Its mans perversion and mans desire to create heaven in his own ideal. Thus the imagery. And the assumption that beings of devine energy are somehow related to their previous state in the afterlife. Its all a pathetic sham.
The only thing we really got right in my opinion is that we should have ultimate fear and respect for God. Whether we believe in the slight chance there may be some fate further in other planes of existence or whatever after checking out of this world is quite sentimental and just about anyone can buy into that or have the sincere desire to do so. But still, I just cant buy it when the words that are supposedly devine handy downs from the Catholics themselves have spawned into other religeons over the past few hundred years I really just cant buy into any of it at all.
I say fear God and leave it at that.

Catholics do pray to God. If you attended a Catholic mass you would know that. The primary focus of Catholic worship is the sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Lord. That is what MASS is... the Holy Eucharist celebrates the saving power of Jesus Christ. The most important element in the Catholic faith is belief in the true presence of Jesus Christ at Mass.
Some Catholics also ask the Blessed Virgin to intercede for them. It is a way of saying, "I'm not as worthy as You are, the Mother of Jesus. Please help my prayers have more power." If you've ever had a beloved grandparent or other relative who has passed on, and sometimes you think about them and ask them to pray for you and help you, since you feel they are in Heaven with God... that's about the same thing.
It's also very much like asking your friends or family to pray for you. Christians often do that when they are facing a personal problem or life situation.
To the person who says it's idolatry... wrong. Idolatry is when you DON'T worship God, but instead worship your new TV set, your fancy expensive car, your summer home in a resort, etc, etc... putting material things ahead of spiritual things.

Prayer is a one-sided conversation.
Different religions think different things. Why do people pray to Mary when they could pray to Jesus? Why do people pray to Jesus when they could pray to God? Why do people pray to God when he supposedly already knows what you're thinking?

Coz if Jesus is a righteous person (which everybody believes he is), then he would follow his mother's biddings. So praying to Virgin Mary is the way to reachin Jesus and then to the God.

A lot of non-Catholic think that because we pray to saints and ask them to pray to God for us, that we do not pray directly to God. To them, you either pray to Mary and the saints or you pray to God.
Why can't you do BOTH?
We DO pray directly to God (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We also ask Mary and the saints to pray for us as we pray to God.
All of our blessings come from God. We do not give Mary or any saints power over God.

i haven't read the entire bible, but based on our own practices (being in a family of Roman Catholics), we either pray to Mother Mary, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, The Saints, and even directly to Our Father... hence, "The Lord's Prayer"... we pray the "Our Father" and ask Him to forgive us of our sins and to deliver us from evil.

Well, the idea here is to pray to some one that will speak on your behalf. Since the holy mother should have some influence in the on-goings of heaven, then if you pray to her, she will see that you're needs are met. Sort of like like calling your boss's mother in order to get a raise.
I personally don't agree with this logic, but to each their own.

While I agree with you I can explain why our Catholic brothers and sisters pray through saints...
The Bible teaches that we are to pray for one another and that the prayers of a "righteous man availeth much". So the Catholic Believer asks the saints to pray on their behalf.

You are right we can go to Jesus directly. See 2 Tim 2:5 'For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus'. So when you go to God let no man or any other name come between you and God. I hope this is helpful to you. God bless you.

Mother Mary or Mary Mother, In the first place you must understand that she is the mother of Jesus, He is from her womb, Mother is someone who is great.
You need to see the sectary to reach the minister or see the minister to reach the king.
I hope that this answers your question.
