depends what for, Haro are known for BMX, specialised are known for mountain bikes, my advice would be stay with the manufacturers that make the type of bike you want. For example, If ferrari made golf carts, i am sure they would sell well because of branding, weather they would be any good is a different matter!, ferrari are masters at sports cars, but not at golf carts!

actually Haro has made bmx's for many years (rode one when i was a kid) and they now make great mt. bikes as well, very nice ones in fact. specialized is great too so i guess it depends on what kind of riding youll be doing as most Haros ive seen are more for big drops or freeriding but really both brands have quite an array of mt bikes for different types of riding. specialized has some wicked frames.

there is a shop in my town that only sells specialized i tried on out and it is WEAK
my friend baught a haro it's lighter stronger and better components

i do mountain biking - if it were me i would go with the specialized. hands down, no questions asked. they are a renowned bike company and they're bikes are made of high quality components and they look wicked hot. i have an old hardrock pro disc and have hucked it around for several years and im amazed that it still works!

i like specialized because i mountain bike and their bikes are good qualityed and they look great with top of the line products welling cheaper than other companys like trek and kona. and in 2007 they are releaseing their own line of suspention. which i heard is as good as marzocchi
