Love is a result of human nature.

If we look at it in the scientific sense, then it's just a matter of chemical reactions in your brain when you see the right mate so that you will breed and propagate your species. However, it sounds all too Existentialist and Darwinian for me...what do you think?

Alternatively, love is the desire for beauty (which is the desire that defines us as human beings, and not purely Animal). We look for it around us, what completes us...our other half if you wish it to be put that way (read Plato's Symposium for that story). This is then definitive not just of the love between lovers but of a parent's for a child, a friend for a friend, and a benevolent person for everyone and everything else around himself.

Essentially, it is an awareness of something outside yourself.

Whatever it is you love, it is more telling of yourself than of the thing you love.

Love is a feeling of intensity that just happens naturally. It is acceptance of the other naturally at their best and worst, instant attraction, instant connection, liking all instantaneously and all flowing naturally.
To love is a feeling that is irreplacable and to engage in love making with that individual is a feeling that once experienced can never again be duplicated. Constantly thinking and longing for that person when not in each other's presence. When 2gether, they complete you and they are your all, you do not feel as though you are missing anything else in life. You long for no other, and wandering eyes are not in your vocabulary; true love in and of itself is a gift that happens once in a life time and you will know it when it happens.

Oh dear ! Have you heard of AMRIT ? A similler word coined by poets and auothers, a perfect imagination, is a good cover for all type of feelings and affection ,whenever you taste that for a while you feel great..
The only one who deserve this is GOD who responds in a similler way.

When other races were practising philosphy ,sports etc. we were busy with poets and poetry apart from religion. This got so much embeded into our blood that film industry and litrature is totally dependent on that now.

Every relation is coated with that but what is at the core GOD only knows. Every thing depends on that coating and how long it is going to last against irrtants like money, selfishness etc.

hope you will take care of this Amrit -------

Love is a profound feeling of tender affection for or intense attraction to another. It is considered a deep, ineffable feeling shared in passionate or intimate interpersonal relationships. However, in different contexts, the word love has a variety of related but distinct meanings: in addition to romantic love, which is characterized by a mix of emotional and sexual desire, other forms include platonic love, religious love, familial love, and the more casual application of the term to anyone or anything that one considers strongly pleasurable, enjoyable, or desirable, including activities and foods. This diverse range of meanings in a single word is commonly contrasted with the plurality of Greek words for Love, reflecting the word's versatility and complexity.

In my opinion, love in its purest form is valuing someone else's interests, wishes, or needs more than your own.

There is a theory that all human actions have selfish causes. Even things like volunteering could be said to be from the motivation of wanting to feel good or be thought of as a good person.

In my personal view, this is true, UNLESS you have love. There are many different types of love-- love for a spouse, for family, for friends, for someone who is just a fellow member of the human race-- but I believe all of them have the same core, and this core is that love allows one to contradict their selfish nature.
