If some guy on a bus says
"I love you, and want you to love me. If you love me, you will do what I tell you to. If you do that, then I will reward you. If you do not do what I tell you to, then I will BURN you!"
Then he holds up a can of petrol, in one hand, and holds up a lighter in the other.
Do you accept Him as your personal Savior, or do you tell the driver that there is a nut case running loose?

Why is GOD like the guy on the bus? Neither of them have cars.

Although...

I did hear that back in the day, God had a Plymouth. It seems he drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden in his Fury.

That's not the only car in the Bible. David had an English roadster with a loud engine; his Triumph was heard throughout the land!

Also, the apostles rode around in a Honda; when the day of pentecost came, they were all in one Accord

I was going to school one day ( adult trade/tech type school) and I saw a letter that someone had posted to the wall. After reading it I took it down photocopied it and made one small change to the very bottom.
I showed the letter to several of the girls in my course and asked what they though of it.
The letter said things like:
I can see you when you are watching television, but I don't bother you because I know you will come to me soon.
I see you when you are shopping, preparing for the party, but i don't come up to you because I know I will see you again.
I think about you of every minute of every day even though I know you don't think about me.........

The girls were absolutely horrified and all of them said this was a letter from a stalker...a sick man....someone who needed help.

Then i showed them the original and asked them to look at the bottom of the page.

It said simply, "From God."

Now obviously this was a letter written by a human, but it goes to show that there is at least one person on this planet that thinks this is a good portrayal of a god to be followed unconditionally.

Scary.

I've SEEN that guy...and well I wouldn't consider him god som uch as a guy with some gas and some fire. I told him he should go blow **** up in an open area whree there were no people or structures. No really I actually told him he should just go get some tea nad take a nap as it looked as though he'd been up for 3 days...and well...I don't think god is a tweaker is he?

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us?
Just a stranger on the bus,
Trying to make his way home?

This is similar to the 'blue dot' argument. See the link for more detail.
