This must be a language problem , I think you mean approved components.
All components used in air crafts have to meet certain standards, there is a process for it.
You could have two identical Air craft seat made by same manufacturer say one is use on ground to train a crew, this does not have to go through the additional approval process but it can never go inside an air craft which may be used for flying. It will have markings on various location "Not approve for flight" and painted probably red all over.
Improved components are just that, improvements are made continuously to every things. Two office chairs may look the same but, one was modified my using different stronger alloy, this modification improved the capacity of the chair, so a heavier person can use it without damaging it.
Car engines are modified for racing or batter millage or modified to use LP gas and not regular gas. Some time whole car is modified and stretched to convert it in to a Limousin, or a truck in to a mobile home.
