I'm looking into buying a puppy I can take along everywhere, anhd not have to hide its face . . . I want a fashionably adorable puppy. what breeds do you suggest? how small?

actually, I believe all that love and caring was innate - natural. If i wasn't willing to give it time and affection I wouldn't be asking what the best breed is!!! I Just want something cuter than ordinary.

A puppy isn't a fashion accessory.. When you want a dog to love with all of your heart, and to care for in sick or in health, and just as much when it is old and homely at 13 years old...check back and ask again..

I agree with Chetco however I'll guess that you didn't mean it like that and say that although I'm not fond of toy breeds, I'm becoming quite taken with Maltese. They seem quite intelligent and quite feisty as well. They are a BIG commitment with all their hair so you can't just toss them on the back burner. They will require daily brushing and time spent as any dog should expect to receive.

It would be really difficult to find a more charming breed than the Maltese. Their intelligence and out-going personality make them a joy to own and their beauty attracts many admirers. Although the Maltese is a toy dog, this small breed is full of delightful personality with a zest for life. Their small size makes them easy to manage and they fit in with nearly anyone's lifestyle - from simple apartment living to being a world-wide traveler with a glamorous owner such as Elizabeth Taylor! The Maltese is happy to be your companion - ready to play and take walks or curl up in your lap.

toy poodles are adorable, but too much fuss with the hair etc... get a toy chihuahua.. no hair mess.. dont bother with a pomeranian,, too barky... Ive had all 3 and find chihuahuas are the most adorable and easiest to handle.. We used to carry ours in a huge cloth shopping bag. she would just lie there on a little blanket in the bag and not make a sound except if someone bumped me as they walked by, she would bark a tiny sound, and the looks people would give were hilarious when theyd look at the bag wondering.... also when she was a puppy, she was the size of a pickle.. she'd fit in a large match box.. so tiny.. Our cat must have thought she was a mouse, she'd paw at her some and the puppy would turn and bark at the cat and you should have seen the expression on the cat when she realized it was not a mouse but a dog.. haha! .. the puppy was a black chihuahua with a little beige face.. we named her Chiquita

yeah, toy poodles are really cute, but I'd prefer a shih tzu, maltese or west highland terrier. Shih Tzus and Malteses also have mini breds, they are tinsy and usually won't grow any bigger than 3/4 of a shoe box
