I will give you some personal experience. When I was in 10th grade, I used to weigh around 140 lbs and my height was 4' 11 (yes im short lol). anyways, i was a bit chubby for my age and height so I entered the tennis team in my school. Although it was difficult for me since I am not used to play sports, i was able to come through. at the end of the school year, i weighed about 110 lbs. dont go into crash diets cause that wont work. what really works are active sports that keeps your heart running. try something fun maybe football or something similar. believe me, it was fun to play tennis and i didnt even have to go into a diet.
good luck with that.

Cut down on your portions and eat more small meals throughout the day. Exercise at least 20 minutes a day 3 times a week. Other than that you just need to give it time. It can take a couple of weeks before you start to notice a weight loss. Keep in mind - that from the exercise you're toning up and developing muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat but is compact. So you may actually gain weight but trim down if that makes any sense. Don't give up - lots of luck!!!

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Move. It not about what you eat. It's also about using your body to burn calories. It's a simple concept
wight lose= calories out > calories in. So if you naturally have a slow metabolism, or your body stores more that it uses naturally, you need to increase the amount of movement you do. are there things you can do without your car? do you own a bike. do you have a dog that needs to be taken out for walks. How about dancing? swimming? just plain walking?
The meals are basic, stay away from high calorie foods, http://www.weightlossforall.com/calories-high-calorie-foods.htm.
