There are a bunch of cheap motels in the Disney area. Acutally they opened, like, 5 of them a couple of months ago so a lot of them have really good deals. But for cheap motels in the area, I'd suguest something not too close to the actual park, but is still down the street such as Carriage Inn which is very cheap or Portofino Inn & Suites which is slightly closer to the parks and a whole lot nicer.

Please beware of any cheap motels near Disneyland as most of them are notorious for being quite rundown and populated with transient and squatter-like people.
A friend or mine and I have stayed at the Motel 6 located just within Anaheim hear the Garden Grove border. It is cleaner and safer, though not located near the Disneyland entrance, yet close enough if you use public transport.

Ok there are cheap hotels across the street from disneyland, I should know i have stayed there, but they are HORRIBLE. One hotel had tons of mosquitoes in the room while others were just gross. At a some what decent price, the desert palms is a great hotel. another great hotel is the Marriott across the street from the entrance. The last i would suggest is the hyatt. It is a little far but they have a bus going to and fro. Even though its about $129 a night, you pay for what you get. It even has a starbucks and pizza hut in it. The rooms are big and sometimes they may upgrade you. I went there once and they gave me a free breakfast and upgraded my room to a suite.Enjoy!

I recommend the Peacock Inn & Suites, located about 2 blocks from Disney. They are friendly, the rooms are nice, and they have a shuttle that takes you to Disney!
