I don't have a religious stance on it, I never considered that God would have a problem with it. He gave it to me to use, as soon as I'm done with it, why not share it? Isn't that in itself what Jesus teaches? I'm not thinking that I'll need my liver in heaven. Organ donation is an extension of the medical sciences in our lifetime. Would you question the religious issues regarding the discovery and early use of penicillin? We all take that for granted now. I really don't think God has a problem with organ donation but please explain any negatives you have about this, I would be interested.

I'm an atheist and hence don't have a religious stance on it, but my personal stance is that I won't be needing my organs when I'm dead, so if somebody else can use them they're welcome to have them. It is also likely that I will donate one of my kidneys sometime in my lifetime, to a close relative who is likely to need it one day.

My religious and personal stances are at one with each other.
While I am iffy about the idea of personally donating organs (I guess I'm still attached to them), I consider the sacrifice to be noble in nature.
The idea of donating them after death is also iffy to myself as I think that a lot more research should go into the growing of organs within laboratory conditions... as well as into the thought of resurrective technologies (why not? People tend to die at points when they were at their greatest 'potential'. If we were to bring them back they would have a second chance to enrich humanity).
However in the context of a time period when people are 'not' being brought back to life, I consider it to be an act of benefaction not to go unappreciated.

I do not really include religion in this decision. However, I do believe organ donation is a good thing. The idea of helping other people live after I have passed away makes me feel good inside.

No religious stance, because I am not religious.
Personally, I am absolutely in favour of organ donation. I'm a donor, myself. And I think a lot of lives could be saved if we weren't so narrow-minded. Even our own lives can be saved one day.

I think we should all give what we can.
It is selfish and stupid to not give an organ to save someone's life if you are already passed or if a family member is already passed.
If you had a child who was going to die in a few days without an organ and you are in the waiting room, then a child comes in from a car accident and they are brain dead. Then that child dies. The parent says "NO, they will not give the organ." How would you feel on this?
To me that is the same as participating in a murder. Knowing someone is dying and refusing to help them when you can is a crime.

Religiously, there's nothing wrong with it. But personally, I'm too greedy to donate my organs.

as a fellow human being, if you have an organ that is good and you could give a longer life to someone, and you don't need it anymore, why not?

Yeah, why not?
Donation...not selling.
I'm not comfortable with selling a body part.
