Ok there's this rumor going around my automotive classes that Toyota is bringing back the Supra. I've also heard that the Lexus concept LFA is supposed to be the new Supra, which wouldn't be bad because the SC300 was just as good as a none turbo Supra. So what has everyone heard and I'd like information sources to go along with your answer. Thanks!

I've read it's coming back. Fantastic car, and I can't wait, though I'm sure I won't get one.
I've read it will be based (loosely) on the Lexus SC430, so the faster version will have the V8. A lower version will have the 3.5L V6 from the new IS350. The article mentioned $30 to $40K for the V6 and $40 to $50K for the V8. The V8 should be very nice and powerful, but I seriously doubt it can be built-up like the L6 in the last generation Supra and IS300.
Do a Google search on: "new toyota supra" "07 supra" "08 supra" or some variation and you'll get hits.

im almost positive that they wont bring back the supra, but they are looking for a replacement for it tho, if you pick up sportcompactcar's magazine this month, theres an entire section in it about toyota, they have this truck in concept right now that is faster than a supra and basically was built to drift...its kinda weird, but sweet as hell. i dont think that toyota would make a supra replacement and then put it out with lexus just bc toyota has more brand loyalty in the jdm, and especially in the usdm.

yeah, i heard about a year ago toyota is looking at bringing out a supra replacement, but at that time i was under the impression that it would not be called a supra. well i hope they do cos the soarer (430) just doesnt really cut it for their flagship sports car, and the mr-s and celica are rather... tame if ya know what i mean. BRING IT BACK!

the supra is coming back but not as a six inline twin turbo car. it does not have the same style. its coming with a V8 turbo or naturally asperated. I dont consider it a supra.

i didn't heard it yet but i think you just buy the 02 supra and if you like it,just tell the producer to put turbo and ecu in it.

yes i heard about that too. you can check it at goggle, it will show you the pictures what it might look like and more detail.
