Are there any sayings about not looking into something too much?

What about the one that often goes along the lines of "a rose is a rose is a rose"? Is that what that's implying?

"Curiosity killed the cat."

"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth."

"Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar."

"A rose is a rose is a rose" could be interpreted as conveying that meaning, but it does not NECESSARILY convey that meaning.

The writer Gertrude Stein came up with that saying. It means that something is what it is, no matter how you try to portray it. Let me try an example (to make it clearer to myself, if not necessarily to you.). A company decides to lay off a part of it's workforce. They can try using the euphamisms "streamlning," "downsizing," "right-sizing," or "outsoursing" in an effort to put a better spin on their actions. But, at the end of the day, no matter what they use, it is still laying people off.
There's another saying with a similar meaning that goes "If it walks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck." Did I help at all? Or (more likely) confuse you even more?

How about the old saying "Leave well enough alone". "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is another one " What the eye doesn't see, the heart won't grieve about" could also fit the bill.
"A rose is a rose, is a rose" is implying that what you see is what you get, & all the investigating won't change a thing.

My first thought wasn't a quote but a book called "The Tao of Pooh." Well worth the read.

Then I tried to find one on a site I will give you to look for one if the responses you recieve don't satisfy what you want.
Though suddenly " You can't see the forrest for the trees" seemed to fit.

Maybe?....Much learning does not teach understanding.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, smells like a duck.... It's a duck.

“Love is like a rose. It looks beautiful on the outside...but there is always pain hidden somewhere.”

“I don't wish to be everything to everyone, but I would like to be something to someone.”

“You may not love me today, tomorrow, or ever, but I will love you until it kills me, and, even then, you'll be in my heart.”

“If I never met you, I wouldn't like you. If I didn't like you, I wouldn't love you. If I didn't love you, I wouldn't miss you. But I did, I do, and I will.”

“We're constantly being told what other people think we are, and that's why it is so important to know yourself.”
