Well I believe exercise kick-starts your metabolism. It seems like yours is fairly low. (I do not mean that as anything offensive) Cut back on high-calorie foods if you don't plan to burn them all, and more throughout the day. Jog or walk to your favorite song (: it always works for me, after you lose some pounds start running. Whee! Funfun. >___> Ask your parents to prepare more balanced meals, nothing too meaty and greasy. You should not try starving yourself or vomiting after meals. It will damage your stomach and esophagus. At your age I don't reccomend you use diet pills and stuff =.= Just exercise daily and burn off more calories than you take in.

At the risk of sounding like an adult..... exercise is the best way to loose weight. I have never really found diets work throughout my life and the only thing that really worked was exercise and plenty of it. I go to the gym as often as I can and I find it's quite addictive after a while.
There are several gyms that offer "No judgment" i.e. you can safely go there without being ridiculed by the jocks that populate some gyms.
Do lots of cardio vascular work which means running or cycling to get your heart going and you can burn over two thousand calories if you run for two hours. I do that but do a break of weights in the middle. I can pretty much eat what I want with that method.

Hope it helps

You are so young to be worried about weight and I feel for you. Have you talked to your mother about fixing you lower calorie food. More fruit and vegetables and cut out the snacks and soda pop. Take up more exercising. Ride a bike and go for walks after school. Drink more water. Sometimes you feel hungry when you are really in need of water. Remember weight comes off a lot slower than it goes on so don't give up, just keep trying a day at a time. Just think, if you lose as little as one pound a week, that adds up to 52 pounds a year!! But are you sure you are overweight? Have you been to a doctor? Your doctor would have you see a dietician who can give you lots of good ideas in eating properly. Good luck, you'll do OK!!

I know its hard but you need to change your habits. Try to drink water instead of soft drinks and avoid alot fatty food or sweets. You need to find some form of exercise you enjoy and stick with it whether its sports or not. It may take a little while to see a change but if you keep with it then things will start to change for the better.
Remember to limit how much you eat find out how many calories an average 12 yr old requires. Also avoid weighing yourself all the time because you want to lose fat and build muscle so a scale will only make you more self conscience because muscle weighs more than fat.
I wish you all the luck in the world, you have a sweet spirit ;)

A good place to start is at the television or computer. Take the time that you would normally be sitting still and doing nothing to go ride your bike, or go for a walk instead. My best friend's daughter is 10, and she's startin to get a little chunky. We've been tryin to think of "ACTIVE" things for her to do instead of being a couch potato, and it's starting to work. Don't drink sodas and coolaid-- drink water or milk, or something healthy, and stay away from the junk food and candy. Try to do something every day that gets you moving around, even if its just some jumping jacks or sit ups in your own bedroom. A good diet, and just getting out of the house and moving around has done wonders for my friend's daughter. Good Luck, and stick with it!

In the age of eating disorders, I'm inclined to tell you to ask your doctor or school nurse about this before you attempt any weight loss. For all I know, you may really need to lose a lot of weight. For all I know, you might just have harsh parents. Either way, this is a question which is better asked of people who know you. Talk to a medical professional about ways that you can be healthy. If you're in school, you might want to talk to a Nutrition or P.E. teacher. They'll know how to help.

Try walking with a headset. It's fun and it can clear your mind while you walk and try to shed some pounds. I've been drinking green tea for at least 3 weeks now and in the beginning it started to make my tummy flatter. However, I eat fast food quite often so the weight returned.

Don't give up though--you can do it!!

Well if there bothering you than they shouldnt mind cooking better and making sure the diet is there. That is most important at your age.
Also get involved in sports, clubs or simply play them with your friends. Or have your parents do something. They started it so make them finish it.
