You might consider taking your child to the hospital. The danger with vomiting is that he will become dehydrated and low on electrolytes, because he can't keep any liquids down. You can try to give him liquids like Pedialyte, but if he keeps vomiting repeatedly the best thing would be to take him to the hospital where they can keep a better eye on him and give him intravenous fluids if necessary.
As far as the virus, does he have a fever? If so, it could very well be the flu. You could treat the fever with something like Children's Tylenol.

That's a long time, is he eating or drinking anything at all in that time? If it's a stomach flu he could be doing that for awhile until the bug is out of his system. Keep him in bed, check for fever, try to keep him comfortable. Try him with little sips of water or ginger ale, if that stays down for at least 1 hour, then try some crackers. If he's not better tomorrow get him to the ER or doctor. If the crackers stay down try liquids like soup broths, maybe jello, nothing heavy on the stomach.

first...you may want to think of a pediatrician...but in the mean time...NO MILK, give small sips of 1/2 strength gatorade, pedialyte(R) or similar and not let him guzzle to distend the stomach and start the vomiting cycle over again...nothing diet, sweet tea if available, something with calories...water as a last resort, but somehting sugary for the calories....
you need to be really quick to notice if he is getting dehydrated, poor skin turgor, dark eyes, floppy, no urination and a 2 year old can crash fast...
good luck remember 9-1-1 is only a phone call away

Before he severly dehydrates , go to an emergeny room or quick care . A toddler or baby can die from dehydration . If you have pedialite , try to get him to drink some in the meantime . He may have gotten into poisen ; do not delay medical care .

this could be dangerous if left untreated. but if you cannot make it to a doctors, give the child childrens gravol suppositories, and make sure once the medication has taken effect, give your kid plenty of water. only water, no sugar drinks as this may further dehydrate him. but really...if you can make it to a docs, or even the hospital...it would be in your childs best interest. good luck

You have to bring him to an ER immediately. For one thing, if he's vomiting that much, he's dehydrated, and that can be a very, very serious thing with a child that young.

Pediatrician recommended sipping Coke, not Diet Coke, has to be Coke. It works every time for my kids. Hope he/she feels better soon!
