Peter was the chief Apostle. He was the one who Christ told to feed His sheep. Peter was the one given the authority to receive revelation on behalf of the early church. He had a trio of visions about kosher food, and changed dietary laws. When all the apostles went to the temple to testify of Christ, he was the spokesman.

Good question. No good answer. One must presume that:
a) Peter did more cf. Acts 10.
b) Peter had a better PR team cf. it got 2 Peter into the Bible although it is a plagerizes Jude.

Because he made bigger, more frequent mistakes, making him a great example to use for the rest of us! I wouldn't be so interested in a Bible filled with stories of perfect people... it would be a bit discouraging!

Because he spent more time being flamboyantly impetuous. Sometimes he got it dead right, other times he was WAY off base, but he was never silent.
