one of my friends has been hinting about asking me out for a few weeks + a few days ago he actually did ask me out. i was very flatered by it but the thing is, he's a lot shorter than me + it looks weird when we're together. i think he's really easy to talk to, but he's the shy type + it's really awkward when we're together now. he really likes me + he's been trying to do things to get me to like him more. the problem is that i've been single for 2 years + i'm sick of it + the other guy that i really want to go out with is going out with this other girl who used to be my friend but now shes a snob. + i've heard theyre gonna be together for a while. i like my friend as a friend and i dont want our friendship to be difficult b/c then i would be losing a good friend + we have a class together too. i'm sort of desperate and i like all the perks of having a bf, but i dont wanna go out with him just to say i have a bf. b/c then i would break up w/ him + hurt us both. plz help wat shud i do?

follow your heart, stay friends, if you date him and dump him you will lose him as a friend. friends are for life, dating isnt at your age.

I think you may have done a good job staying single for 2 years, y do u now want to just get into a relationship for the sake of it if your not sure. Take ur time and have fun. Leave your friend to find her own destiny. My advice to you is, if you like this guy, take it slow, be friends have fun and if you find something really special then his height wont matter, if you dont like what u get to know about him...you can leave but still be friends!!!!

Good luck!!

well, its great that you are clear about what you want from whom and now the best thing is to tell him so straight....help him to get out of this hope that he has a chance with you...be clear and polite, just tell him how you cherish your friendship with him but you have nothing more for him in your heart,so its better to carry on that way, rather dating and ending it all and losing a great friend...so dont be quite and encourage him more, just talk about it and end it at that...good luck!!

Better to stop it now before he gets his feelings too involved since you know you'll never be interested in him for any long-term relationship. I realize it's fun to have an admirer (who doesn't enjoy the attention!) but if you reciprocate only because it feels good now, he's going to get his hopes up and it'll be messy later.

make him understand that u are impressed and want to continue as a friend .if he insists a lot then make him realise that u care for him .don't avoid him so that he feels u are happy with him.

if you're not love him then just sms him, tell him that you're really sorry and you just want to be friend, i know it's bored to be single ,just wait for another chances until you find the right one for you
