Yes, I believe it can. It totally depends on your body & its metabolism. It does not happen on a overall scale, but it does to some. I have a friend and an aunt who avoid spicy food for just that reason or so they have associated it with such as jalapenos.

Mabey it just didn't agree with you. Your body might not be used to spicy foods and as a result you get loose dookey. Take Pepto Bismal this should help.

No, it should not but perhaps whatever you ate was spoiled before they cooked the dish and the cooks used spices to cover up the spoiled taste: it happens in some restaurants.
