why aren't anti-immigrants trying to raise the manimun wage if they really think immigrants lower it for all

i seem many blaming the immigrants for lowering their wages yet do nothing to help increase it in the first place .

i find it contradictory , yet this is also the excuse from the republicans who denied raising the minimun wage in the first place .

so is there any way to explain this ???

or

is the lack of explanaition caused by their real reasons ???

The reason is because the GOP platform is for corporations and big businesses.....These are their supporters and fund there elections! If we raised the minimum wage, it would ultimately hurt these businesses bottom line....So instead, the GOP blames illegals for lowering Americans wages, its a very clever trick.....However, illegals don't make the rules nor do they sponsor laws! Congress didn't raise the minimum wage, yet they did vote to raise their own pay! Its hypocrisy! And these politicians are out of touch with the American people...

Ok, I can say "Raise the Min. Wage" all I want. I have no political power. What do you expect regular people to do beside vote?

Also, raising min wage will make the illegals get more work since the businesses are paying them shi* for wages.

I'm fine with raising the minimum, and California did.

However, illegals lower the wage where wages are ABOVE minimum, as in construction. Minimum wages don't help, but ability for our people to make a living is hurt. PLUS we have to pay for the services for those illegals who are running down the wages for our people.

Illegal immigrants aren't bound by the minimum wage. Raising the minimum wage would encourage the hiring of illegals.

if you don't have papers "Green Card" you don't have any rights here in america as far as labor laws are concerned, so they can pay you what they want and if you want to support your family you work at that wage even if it is only 4 or 5 bucks an hour.

i for one would like to raise it , but i dont see how that will effect most illegals as they work under the table , and if the illegals are making min as the pro team claim then why would we want to raise it ? see the flaws in your question ?
