well, i'm from the philippines, and i've witnessed some of these locations first hand. i highly recommend going to Boracay. you can do everything there... from para-skiing, to snorkelling. the white sands of Boracay are unparalleled in my opinion. the night life there is equally fantastic. you can go island hopping over there to a neighboring island called Puka Beach, where you can also go snorkelling and collect rare sea shells. the sands of Puka Beach are a mixture of the native white sands and small fine sea shells.
if you're curious also about the beaches of Cebu, i can refer you to a friend of mine who's gone island hopping all over Cebu. i think she's quite familiar with Malapascua Island as well.
