I have been good friends with this guy for a long time now. We have a really great time together and he's so fun. Lately we've been hanging out more and tonight right before he left my house he kissed me (I didn't really see that coming). I think he's going to ask me out and I dont know what to say. He's a great friend but...I don't feel that he would make a great boyfriend. I feel bad and I dont want to hurt his feelings but I dont really feel any..."chemistry" between us. Does that make sense? I'm flattered that somebody likes me and I have been single for a very long time but...but I just don't know what to think or how to feel about this. Is this normal? Should I say yes and give him a chance anyways? Please help!

I know how you feel. This is a tough one. The thing is I am not sure if these is a way that you can really prevent him from being hurt. Consider this, which one would you thing would hurt more? You telling him now that you don't feel the same way as he does or dating him for sometime (leading him on) and then he finds out that you don't feel the same way about him. You see, either way he could get hurt.

You didnot say the reason why you don't think he would be a great boyfriend but one of the things you could also do is try to weigh the pros and cons. I know right now, you may be young and he may not be the "hottest guy" but try to think ahead. Could you see him being a great father to your kids, ambitious, provider someone you could cuddle up with later on in life and read a book with. These are some things you may want to consider.

Alot of women will tell you that, they didn't think their man would be "the one" but now they could not imagine life without that person. What you are feeling is normal. I have gone thru it but think about these things before you finally let him know. Good luck!!

YOU MAY BE JUMP THE GUN A LITTLE, HE MAY JUST SEE
YOU AS A FRIEND AS WELL. BUT IF SEE IT AS MORE AND
YOU DONT THEN YOU NEED TO BE HONEST WITH HIM
AND LET HIM KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. BUT UNLESS IT
COME UP DONT PUT SO MUCH IN TO NOT JUST YET.

Go on a date with him, you can never really tell what your feelings are until you experience it=-)
