I am wondering if any of you have dated out of your league(or dating above your social class) and what problems you ran into if any For example, was it intimating, did you have trouble being yourself..etc?

i only 'dated' one guy that was out of my 'league' and that is my husband. we are 'total opposites' and we fit like a glove.
he was a grundy, skater type, and i was a prep.
he like my attitude and well, i hated him the first time i met him. but i was judgemental, and we soon started talking and before you know it, we were together and married.
he is currently fighting in iraq, so i miss him terribly, he is my best friend and soul mate.

If you think that you are out of your league then you already struck out looking. Because if the person you have a crush on wants to go out with you and likes you just as much then you guys go have fun.

Don't think of yourself in a league because leagues can change.

Do you see yourself as someone below others just because they have bigger houses or bank accounts? If so, then you shouldn't. Rich people still use the bathroom, sleep, eat, watch tv etc... just like the rest of us. I don't see anyone as out of my league. You shouldn't either.

Leagues are fictional social constructs that people agree exist mainly because they can't step out of their bubble of warped perception. Humans are humans; don't let anyone make you feel inferior.

i had some people look at me weird when i was dating my past boyfriends because they were black but as for me im openminded i will date anyone whos nice to me ...all you can do is be you ...and hopefully the people will respond to you in a nice way...whether we like it or not there is still some racism and discrimination out there...
