First of all treat the sores...this is important because your hands are exposed to alot of germs everyday. A antibiotic ointment or if you dont use those meds....witch hazel is something some people use for small abrasions and such. Next get some serious hydrating lotion . You may want to do the glove thing where you cake your hands up in lotion and then wear gloves the heat helps the lotion to penetrate faster. Keep your hands lotioned up at all times and wear gloves when out in the cold air. Hope this helps.

Fill your tub with warm watter and put some oatmeal in it, and just relax and get in there, you'll see how will make your skin feel better. Also when you are taking a shower, apply sugar with honey on your skin and leave it for a few minutes, you'll feel like you were exfoliating your skin, then just rinse it off, you can do this on your face too, it'll feel amazing . I know is gonna sound like you are the meal but it works, I have to do it on the winter time because the heater cause my skin to dry.

1% hydrocortisone cream before you go to bed at night, followed by a good hand cream. Repeat in the morning. I've always had this problem, exacerbated by the cold. This is the ONLY remedy that has helped. Been to the dermatologist, used all sorts of lotions & creams, etc. This will heal it.
