Tell him. What do you have to lose? The worst that can happen is he'll say he doesn't like you and while it might seem like the end of the world, you'll move on and that'd be time you didn't spend pining over him and wondering if he liked you. And who knows, he may say he likes you too. Just saying you'll never know if you don't take a chance.
Oh, and my friend once told a guy she liked him by walking up to him and just kissing him. Not saying you have to go that far with it, but there's some inspiration for ya ;)

i actually prefer a shy girl because then you know there not that sluty but hey you never know. i wouldnt go up to him because thats a turn off just stare him in the eyes and wait for him to make the first move if he likes you he will

hang out with friendly & outgoing people. you will learn a lot from them on how to easily get along with people. your crush will not notice you if you are just a shadow. now take this situation as a challenge to get out of your shell. if you feel so awkward directly getting friendly to him, then start befriending his friends. it would be nice when they will introduce you to him as a new member of the group. goodluck!

Im also VERY shy.
But to get the guys to notice me I tell them how I feel or just let them know by flirting.
