Just the other day my close friend and I were having a serious conversation about dateing and relationships! We both have a hard
time keeping that special someone in our lives!I said to her if by the
time she was forty and I at fourty-three have not found someone that we get togeher and start a relationship!I pointed out that I have been the only one who has been by herside through many good and bad times, and never abandoned her in time of need!Even though she said she was not attracted to me,she told me she has been thinking about us going from close friends to a couple because as I said I was always a true friend to her! What do you think shouldI go for it or just stay friends?

first let me say....the fact that she wasn't attracted to you, doesn't mean anything! i couldn't stand my husband when i met him...we were married 23 yrs before he died and i loved him dearly! that being said...friendship is a very good place to start a relationship..becuz if ur good friends first a relationship is more likely to last...its just easier to love someone that you already like. i say just go with the flow...and good luck!

You have to decide if your friendship is worth going further. Just remember if you decide to go the relationship route it will change your friendship forever. If it doen't work out most of the time you can't go back to being the close friends that you were because it just won't be the same. Maybe you should just try being closer friends and see where it leads. Just remeber that if it is meant to be it will happen. Just take it slow and see what happens. Good luck!!

Just say friends.
First of all she said she wasn't attracted to you, what kind of relationship are you going to have?
Besides you sound like good friends, you don't want to ruin it.
Good friends are hard to come by.
You both deserve a romance in your life. A marriage that includes more than just friendship.

That would not work for me as I feel attraction is important. Not the MOST important thing, but it definitely has to be there. On the other hand, I have also found that it can develop over time once you open your mind to the possibility.

You should do whatever you truly feel.

You have to ask yourself if you really want to be with someone that is not attracted to you...
