I work for a publishing company with mainly girls, many cute ones to, know im a bit younger then most gals there, im 21. There is this one nice girl at work who works in a different dept. and different building. I do computer/IT work so im not at here building often, I talked to this girl a bit and got to know her name. But how do I tell her that I want to get to know here better. Also I have to work with here from time to time and dont want mess up anything she does seem very nice and dont want to ruin anything with her especially in a work environment, also I belive she is a bit older as well.

If your not willing to take a chance than maybe you should leave it. For all that you know this girl might end up being you life partner, but you are to afraid to try? whats up with that. Just ask her out on a cup of joe, and start to know one another better.

Well next time you see her, try to strike up a really good conversation with her. And then when you have to leave, say something like, "we should hang out sometime" and then try and exchange numbers. Or if it works out that you guys will have lunch at the same time (for example, you're working in her office during lunch hour), see if she wants to grab a bite to eat since she's the only one you have gotten to know. Next time you talk to her, ask her if she wants to have lunch with you sometime or even coffee. She'll get the hint that you wanna chat and get to know her better:)

Ask her to get a cup of coffee with you. It's non-committal and very casual. If she looks like she's interested, go for it. Ask her out. If she acts uncomfortable or talks about another guy, then you don't even have to think of a way out. It was just coffee.
