is it okay for someone you met a week before to hug you. for example, theres an attractive male who frequently buys something at my job, i converse with him all the time and one day he gave me hug. i saw nothing wrong with it, but, one of my co-workers thought it was weird. give your opnions.

No... They ain't nothing wrong with hugging someone. I don't see anything wrong with it. I hug people at work all the time male and female.

I can see both sides. You know him a little better than your co-worker so you felt at ease. Your co-worker looks at him as a total stranger and nothing more. You could be nieve and not see what she is seeing as a by stander. Step outside the box and try to view this from someone elses shoes.

were you comfortable with it ?...if you were then there isnt a problem right ?..some people like to stick their nose in things they shouldnt...if you were uncomfortable by it then maybe it would bug a bit...when i meet someone new i hug them ..i let the other person do what is comfortable now a hug is neutral unless it was like 10 second or more or he was pressing his chest against you then maybe theres a line...kissing ...family and friends do that ...its okay...so hey if you are not bothered by it..who cares ?

a hug = affection.
I hug people at work all the time, it's just to show that I care for them and I'll always be there, we've worked together so long that we have a bond in and outside of work. Or in his case he may just like you

He is a customer and you are working. It is not a social setting, it is your place of business. If he wants to take you out, then he should ask. But hugging you while you are working is not right.
