It is a pocket knife, it has a serrated edge, and it is 2 inches long. Are you allowed to put that in your luggage that you are going to check?

Yes u may. Just dont say much about it at all, dont even tell the check in person.
All the "No No's" for planes like Gel and Knives are not allowed as carry on. In your ticket or on the airline website, there will be a list of what u cant take on board and there are things that u cant even check in (arreosoles, gases ect.)
so, ring your travel agent, check the airline website, ring the airline or just use what ive got!

I dont think so ~ my daughter flew a month ago and they searched her luggage~~ removed alot of stuff (everyday things such as personal bathroom things, pens, pencils and other odd stuff) so I would say no u cant carry a knife even in checked baggage :)

Yes you can for sure. I brought home 7 machetes once. Something like 2 inches is pretty standard, people have those all the time.

yes, my husband and I just returned from Europe a couple weeks back and he packed a sword in his suitcase (he bought it while away). We had no problems.
