I know were not going to eat 3 pails of candy, need to get rid of, but not throw it away, that would be mean.

Why not give some to your Local food Bank or Soup Kitchen for the poor? I bet the people there would appreciate some treats instead of just regular food donations! And it'd be a nice thing to do!

You're worried about being mean? .... to whom! Kids dont' count it, and you are the parent..okay, pay those dental bills, (hope you have insurance, but you can just be passive and nice, and let them rot away and ... okay I need to stop now)...

I dump handfuls in the garbage! Option B.. bring it to the office or give it to hubby to give to his workplace. If you actually limit the candy, it would be there until Easter, (it is in my house and I only have 1 kid)... so ... be a parent, I mean, I'm sure you have McDonalds down the road but you dont' give in to supper there everynight, right? DUMP THAT CRAP, we all do..sheesh,, donate it to the classroom at kids school ,, they always want goodies during the year. Kids dont' realize how much crap they have, and SO what, so.. YOU'RE A MEANIE! get over it,, if this bothers you now, you're doomed to lay the law later in life! Good luck!

If you have kids put some in a paper bag for them to take to school to share with their class...with the teacher's permission. Put 1-2 little pieces in your kids lunch, or if they have hot lunch, let them take them for a little treat...the snack sized bars are not going to affect them that much. Candy won't go bad for a long time, so just dole it out. My son still has easter candy in his snack cupboard. Chocolate bars can be frozen

I remember one year I found my halloween candy the following July in my closet. I put it on the dining room table, and it was gone within a week. Just keep a bowl of the stuff on the table. It'll go.

What do you mean you don't know what to do with leftover candy?
Give it to the nearest homeless shelter? Give it away to your kids friends for b'days?? Go to a corner, any corner & place it there, & leave it there, bet it won't be there a day!???? Freeze it? Make holiday decorations with it? Use it for ..... WHATEVER......
wow...

Well, I've done this before. If it's chocolates, chop them up and put them in a cheesecake. I used to serve this a lot at my restaurant.
