I would still go with the chicken soup and think of it as revenge against the chickens for giving you the avian flu.
Oh and up above........ avian flu has been found in several places in the US. A little boy died of it in Portland Oregon a couple of months ago.

You can't get avian flu from cooked chicken meat. You pretty much need to be cohabitating with infected chickens in order to catch it. Maybe if you lived in China, or Vietnam.....

The word flu comes from the Italian word Influenza. Because at one time the Italians believed the positions of the planets influenced sickness. You can eat what you want to, but I'm having that Italian miracle food, PIZZA! Buon Appitito.
