Good Vodka wont make eyes water.
Make the first drink real strong and your taste buds will be somewhat paralyzed after the fact and then you can not feel the achkkk that vodka sometimes produces.

if its plain vodka I like cranberry, however if you are drinking flavored vodka i would go with stoli raspberry or stoli blueberry................yummm!!!! there is also a pomegranate vodka that is really good. Those are a few sweeter vodkas for you to try then you don't really have to mix them with much of anything, possibly add a little lemon juice and sugar or splash of cran and orange juice, maybe a little 7 up and sour whatever its all pretty good.

Pour your vodka over ice in a shaker [2-21/2 ozs.] on top pour a bit of Blue Curaco [1oz or less] add cranberry juice. Shake and strain. You can also add some Peach Schnapps [1oz. or so]. Makes a juice type flavour [ grape Kool-Aid type] but are wicked.Cheers!

If you're getting the right vodka (kettle one or grey goose are my favs) then it shouldn't be strong to begin with...flavored vodkas are great too (flavored anything is great really...rum, vodka etc). Get an orange flavored vodka and mix it with OJ and you'll be set. You could always mix unflavored vodka with powdered kool-aid or lemonade mix and you won't taste a thing...

I really like vodka and tonic with a squirt of FRESH lime. Not imitation in a bottle lime juice. I can't stand vodka and coke (thats my dad's drink) I can taste nothing but vodka when mixed with coke. But with tonic it has a nice mellow flavor.

Try mixing it with langers (pineapple orange guava) juice but in any mix do the trick I learned as an alcoholic bartender. smell it. If it smells strong of vodka its gonna be strong for medium drinks it will smell like a smooth blend of juice and liquor and for weak drinks you will hardly smell it yet it will hit in any form

orange juice is good but the citric acid can reek havoc on your stomach.....thats why i went ot orange soda....it has a nice masking flavor and tastes pretty bland if ya like orange soda....also if you like code red Mountain dew try mixing it with that....its a lil drink we like to call the communist (get it red and vodka..lol) its pretty tasty and i have put an entire 750 ml bottle of absolute into a 2 liter bottle and you could barely taste it...

I loved vodka when i was 18 {now 28}. I still can drink it straight, but I used to drink it with mountain dew. I hate mountain dew. I will never drink it alone {Dew} but i could plainly taste the dew, so I'd try the Vodka with the Dew. ...or whatever. It tastes good with most drinks....If you like it as much as I think....it really doesn't matter what you drink it with..just drink.. try everything...L.
