yes and no.....
if the Att mur charge is dropped then the weapons charge most likely will be
if the att mur sticks, they don't need the weapon charge
it is just getting harder and harder to kill people and get away with it these days, isn't it?

Was there any witnesses to place him at the scene? I don't think he should be worrying so much about the weapons charge then the attemped murder. Let the lawyers figure this one out. By the way, I don't recommend hanging out with this person.

Probably, however, if he/she was an accessory to the attempted murder charge (he/she did not actually do the shooting, but, was with the person who did it) and the victim was injured, he/she can be charged because they were present when the crime was committed. example: If 2 or more people are involved in robbing a bank, one of the people involved in the robbery shots another person or dies from the gunshot wound, all persons involved in the robbery can be charged with the shooting or murder because they were involved in the actual crime being committed that lead to someone getting shot.
I strongly sugguest you tell the person to get a very good criminal attorney to defend him/her because he/she is a suspect in whatever happened in order for the charges to be filed.

Firstly, I don't think the fundamental nature of human beings is to be nasty, but is to be love. Unfortunately, earth people are given an ego that challenges their spiritual side and creates the nastiness through competitiveness(pride), jealousy and anger. When people can identify those things in themselves, they can learn to stop them and eventually return to their spiritual selves. That's what the Spiritual movement is all about. Changing perception and old ugly attitudes. Secondly, human beings have survived the worst of times, which were pre-biblical and early Christianity days . Remember that people were fed to the lions as a spectator sport, like we enjoy baseball games today. And they survived with slingshots and rocks. Our common sense tells us where to draw the line, if we choose to survive. It's our instinct. As to the Atomic bomb being dropped - gee, I really think they 'knew' it wasn't going to ignite the atmosphere. When were the scientists stopped from testing such things??? I believe if we were that careless, we would not be here today. You see, even the politicians value their own lives enough to be careful.

There is more to the story. The victim can still testify saying there was a gun and the charges will stay.

that depends on where you live, who your lawyer is, who the judge is, if the convicted has commited crimes in the past....etc. etc.
my brother is serving time because his name came up in a weapons case in another state....no illegal guns were found. yet he is still serving time.
