I used to live in California with a TN1 visa. It expired 2006. Will the work permit take less time since I already have a SIN #?

Get married then file all your paperwork together! Be sure to include an EAD application (employment authorization document
It is good for one year and renewable if your conditional permanent resident card has not been processed by then! You have the right to work while your application is pending! Mine only took about a month after adjusting my status ( I- 485) . As soon as you receive this , take it to the SS office and get your new social security number! This is a VERY valid form of ID and all places of employment will accept this to make you a legal tax payer! Good luck!!
