basically the same area? What is keeping them from peace and what will it take for a lasting peace to be established? Do you think it will ever happen why or why not?

When I say same area I mean like same beginnings or a shared beginning.

It's never going to happen.
Compromise is usually the key to peace and no one is going to compromise what we believe about God/salvation ect. especially because each side probably figures that even if there was a big war they'd win cause God's on their side.

The bible teaches that the Jews are Gods Chosen people. The Muslim believe because they are of the seed of Abraham, that they are Gods chosen people. The feud started there because Sarah tried to help God by letting her hand maiden have a child by Abraham, instead of waiting for the promised son she was to bare. Both believe they are the promised seed of Abraham. We Christians did not come along until Christ was Raised from the dead. Then Jesus made us his children through him, because we received him.
The word says they will say Peace, Peace, but they will be no Peace.
There will be no lasting peace until Jesus comes back and sets up his kingdom. But there will be a couple of wars even after that.and then there will be peace.

It is a good question. the lat pope John Poul had started a dialog, which was also backed from louts of Muslim an Jewish representatives, and their was great hope for peace, but the politician's as usual wouldn't let it happened.
as you put it this religions are almost the same people can get along pot profit maker and politicians never.

That's probably the best suggestion ever on Y!A.

The idea is a refreshing change from all the bigotry and prejudice that's being spread around here.

Unfortunately, each religion will not compromise their beliefs and respect other peoples' beliefs. That will make it very difficult for true peace to happen.

I am still hopeful despite this.

Peace.

You have a great question, How can Christians and Jews get along with Musims when the Muslim agenda is jihad against Jews and Israel and then, if it should happen, go against the christian world. Basically Christians and Jews respect each another but unfortunately this is not the case of Muslims. who say in their call to prayer, "There is only one God and his name is Allah and Muhammed is his prophet." So what happened to Jesus or the God of Israel who has no name? Peace is the way but you MUST have 3 partners, 2 is not enough.

Why, you ask? There is a guy called Sheik Hilaly he is some big shot with the Sydney muslims. He uses his pulpit to preach hate in a Secular country namely Australia which is noted for its tolerance of ethnicity and religions.
The last straw was when he said women who don't cover up are like meat left out for cats to eat. He said if the meat is not left uncovered then the cats would not eat it. The common consensus was that the meaning behind his attack on women who have nothing to do with islam is that it's ok to rape a woman who is not covered up and it is not the fault of the rapist but of the woman.

They all want to be right. Despite being from the same area, they all seem convinced that their respective religions are the "right" ones, when really no one knows which one is. Instead of being happy that another group is worshipping a higher power and has something to believe in, they seek to crush their beliefs because they simply can't stand to be wrong.

Jewish and Christians, for the most part, are fine. The problem is Muslims--not that their religion is flawed, but because so many of their beliefs and practices deviate so heavily from Christian and Jewish practices. Christians and Jews at least share part of the same holy books; the Qu'ran is something completely different.

It will surely happen soon, because the Golden Age has been announced in all the Holy Books.
Eventful happenings will cause all men to abandon their arrogance and enable them to seek for and adopt the Divine Plan of God for establishing world unity and peace.

As history can attest to, geographics has nothing to do with why we can or can't get along. Using your logic, then why can't we as a world get along irregardless of religious beliefs since we all originated from one tiny segment of the globe.

Muslims do not worship the same God of the Torah or Bible. Muslims preach a religion of intolerance, death, hatred and demands violence to anyone who does not conform to their murderous beliefs. That is a different message found from the New Testament of the Bible.

Will we as a people ever unite? Not as long as Islam exists.
