In some personal ads you can put your income. Why do some women do this? Does it mean that if you make less than $50,000 a year you aren't worth looking at?

i have no idea why they do that, in my opinion income doesn't matter at all. If a person can make you laugh...thats all that matters

Well I make way over $50,000 and I have never put my income on anything but if I did the reason may be to show that I'm educated and independent and mostly I would want a guy that could handle it if I made more than him. If he's intimidated by that then he won't contact the girl and waste her time.

Let's face it Buck. Women will do just about ANYTHING for a guy's attention, even if that means EXAGGERATING their income just a tad. I for one actually make a great living, but some women just love to pretend they have it all, because that way if their face is ugly, then at least their pocket is hot enough for attention. It's the terribly sad truth. Some are completely truthful tho, and I doubt they have many takers, unless they're hot. Isn't the truth hard to grasp? Oh, wait, you're not a woman. But you understand what I mean, right? Most women just don't make enough to get by because they expect that when they meet the right man, that this man will "provide" for them. I think that's crap. I think women can pull their own damn weight and I think it's the easy way out for them. To stay at home and have kids. Oh yeah, good life. Whoops, I'm ranting. But anyways, they write that, get attention, meet the guy and tell them the truth. That's life. Ha ha, yeah complicated, isn't it? I bet you wish I never explained all this, but I just thought you should know. ;-P

Oh, and Shark Gumbo, I'm laughing so hard because you are SO right! Ha ha ha! Wow, it's sad tho, isn't it? Ha ha, and I can't get over how right you are, I just had to say that, haha...

I personally put figures in a profile or ad for a few reasons: (1) I don't want to date a guy who is broke meaning whose income is not even enough for himself. (2) a guy sometimes feel insecure if he finds out later on that a girl makes more money than he does, so to avoid that why not present the fact right on...(3) money is not everything but it makes things easier when it comes to financial concerns/issues and I want to feel secured that someday, if we decide to have children I won't be scared to me a stay home mom ....It makes sense for me I hope it does to you as well.

I can't answer for all women really but I know that I usually dont' put anything. Some women want you to see that they're independent and aren't after your money since they have their own. Some of them just like to brag.

met several people in the personals.... from what most guys told me about women they met..... WOMEN LIE ALOT in personal ads..... if income is stated low, they may want you to take care of them..... if it's high.... they're probably tryin to impress someone. At least according to the men I talked to from there.... but keep in mind..... THE MEN LIED ALOT TOO!!! It's online dating.... what can you really expect?

Well, some women (and men) put their income there because choices are given and they think they must, some do it to impress others, and some just have no clue!

They are looking for a man who is interested in their bank accounts. They are willing to pay for attention. Call them and set up a date and ask, I would love to know the answer to this one. God bless.

That is the amount it will cost you per year once you are in a relationship with them.
