Texas shrimp because they come from the Gulf of Mexico. They are large and succulent.
Alaska shrimp: old, cold and tough.

My guess is Alaska because since it's cold up there, the shrimp will stay cold and not spoil from Texas's heat.

Well, the waters off the south-east (Gulf) are murky. It is common knowledge that the mud and silt drift to the gulf. The water does not circulate as well as an Alaskan cost-line. I don't claim to be an expert, but off of sheer speculation, I would say, that a clear water shrimp would be better (or more pure) than one that lives in sediment. Whethere that's the best....I don't know

To me, its seems Alaska shrimp would be considered an "import" so would be pricier.

Thanks!
