Is there a coming war called Armageddon? Where will it be, who is involved, who is going to win?

From time to time i hear about this war. Is it a true future event?

The battle of Armegeddon is God's final war against all wickedness. This war will begin with the destruction of all false religion and anyone who is associated with it and will end with the destruction of all political governments and all who are associated with them and the abyssing of Satan and his demons. "Babylon the Great" and the "wild beast" will be gone forever.
Unfortunately, many will die at Armegeddon. Consider this Scripture at Revelation 19:17,18--"And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid heaven, Come and be gathered together unto the great supper of God; that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of them that sit thereon, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, and small and great."
Notice it says "great supper." These are the ones who worship the "wild beast" and it's image and are part of "Babylon the Great," the world empire of all false religion.
People have been and are still being warned to "get out of her" before her destruction occurs. They are still being warned to stop giving worship to the beast and it's image. (all political and governmental powers)
In order to survive, they must break all ties to both.
This prophecy is now being fulfilled in over 235 lands:
Matthew 24:14--" And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come." ASV

I thought "Armageddon" just meant "the end of the world as we know it." Not a war, as such. Take the movie "Armageddon" for example. The day that the asteroid was due to hit earth was called "Armageddon." Which they said the Bible states to mean, "The end of all things."
However, I think that, yes, it is an event that will happen in the future, but who knows when and who knows how. So "Armageddon" (so I'm told) is taken to mean "The end of all things." (Bacteria wouldn't even survive.)

The world will not end, but Yes it is true and it is setting itself up now. It will be in the Middle East in Miggido. Russia is Gog (Kings of the North) in the Bible and will be likely to start it. China and extended allies in Asia of China will join in (Persia in the Bible - Kings of the East). Then will come Egypt (Kings of the West) as well. Also the the Arabic countries (Kings of the South), like Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, just to name a few. They all will be attacking Israel. After that, the Lord Jesus will come (2nd coming of Christ) and stop the blood shed.

You can read about all of this in the Bible. Isn't it obvious how so many nations are calling for Israel to be wiped off the map or saying they have no right to exist? Isn't it obvious that China protects Korea and also doesn't want sanctions against Iran or Korea. Isn't is obvious that Russia also does not want sanctions against Iran. Isn't it obvious how both Russia and China supply Syria and Iran with weapons and technology to make nuclear weapons.

One world government is also that comes into play and also a one world religious system. Isn't it obvious that the nation of Islam wishes to turn all nations under the rule of Islam. Isn't it even more strange that the President of Iran believes that he is the choosen one to usher in what Islam believes to be the Messiah. (Exactly what the Bible calls the anti-christ to do) One who is said to come and rule for 7 years. One who must come when things are so bad that this person will be the one to make peace ... the Bible tells us that the anti-christ will come and bring a false peace on earth. The Bible tells us that the anti-christ will be allowed to rule for 7 years during the tribulation, but half way through (3 1/2 years) he will show his true colors and end the peace and make all the earth sumit to him by receiving the mark of the beast, 666, on the right hand or forehead (gee, via microchip implants) that you must have in order to by food, work, do anything, what technology is capable of controlling such things? Microchip implants? It could be something else, but the microchips make sense. He claim himself as God in the temple, the temple by the way, that the Sanhedrin are getting ready to build in Jerulselum. The Sanhedrin's new formation, a governing clerical group who has not existed since 70 AD when the 2nd temple was destroyed. Suddenly a couple years ago, they have reformed and preparing to rebuild the temple.

I could go on with much much more ..... how to avoid this? Ask Jesus to forgive you your sins and lead your life now. Accept his gift of salvation through his death and bood at the cross, go and learn about him and build a relationship with him. God is REAL and will save you if you ask from the heart.

Armageddon will be the final battle between Christ and satan, will happen at the end of the millennium when satan and all the wicked will try to fight for the new Jerusalem, obviously Jesus will be the All Mighty Winner.

(BTW, the millennium will be the thousand years after Jesus's second coming, when satan will be bound, no by literal chains, but by circumstances, because he wont have no one to tempt or trick, because the redeemed will be in heaven and the wicked will be dead (sleeping) until the 1,000 years are over, then the wicked will be resurrected, this is when they will try to get the New Jerusalem by force.)

If we accept Jesus in our hearts, by the time Armageddon comes, we will be in heaven and we wont have to worry about a thing. Jesus is the one who is going to fight the battle for us and terminate sin for ever and ever.
