It's because the sensation you get from eating hot foods causes your brain to release wonderful chemicals that make you feel great~
This doesn't happen to everyone, which is why some people don't like them.

It's the Mono Sodium Glutamate that you are addicted to. It messes with the appetite center of your brain. I've burned the lining of my stomach by eating a whole tin of Wasabi peas, afterwards I looked at the ingredients and it had MSG listed on the can. If they didn't put it in chips and fast foods people would eat lunch and the company would not sell near as much. Try making homemade popcorn and putting the spices on that if you crave spicy crunchy food. Better for you and cheaper too, and the fiber is great.

I don't know. My cousin kept eating them all the time (she was also addicted) and she gave me one of them and after that I was addicted to them for about a month. I was eating them all the time!
