War on "Terror"?

Why is the American government so damn nosy?? We think that it's a good idea to help out others, by solving their political problems and what not. What ever happened to helping your own American people? HELLO?? There's plenty of problems here, that the President still haven't touched on. This war on terror is just full of BS. We need to bring our troops back home. First it was finding Weapons of Mass Destruction (and there were none), then the search for Osama Bin Laden, and now.. fighting with terror groups. When will this madness end? -_-''

I know exactly what you mean. I think their still there because of something about the oil there which they probably won't admit too. I feel sad for the soldiers and for the Iraqi's getting killed and injured.

Have you forgotten about 9/11 already. Should we have done nothing at all. No one likes war, people get killed, our people get killed. But do you realize that more Iraq people die over there every day than US Soldiers. We are not nosy, we are careful. I do also believe that we should help our own first. Put yourself in the Presidents position, what would you have done after 9/11 with the info he had then. I read about Iraq everyday. So that I know what is happening with our troops everyday. If we brought our troops home tomorrow. Iran would just move in and take over. Iran would Double in Land size and Population. The Shites would take over everything. If they found the Weapons of mass destruction, they would use them on us. We do know that he had WMD, he was taking some apart in front of UN inspectors Way before the War started. That is why when we could not find them we new that he had hid them. We still may find them someday. Did you know that Saddam had a 100 Miles of tunnels under Iraq. He also had a 9 floor underground Palace so that a bomb could not reach that far underground. So we built a bomb that could go ten floors underground. I wish it would end soon Too! But I also thing if we brought our troops home too soon, it could lead to disastrous results elsewhere in the would. Hopefully the Madness ends soon! 'o'

I read two weeks ago that France has a negative birth rate. That's more abortions than live births, yet their population is growing. More Muslims are moving in. So I totally agree with your statements about France and Spain. A friend of mine in London says that England is changing in some very sad ways too, because of militant Muslims.

Well before we started going after the terrorist as you may or may not recall. They were blowing up our embasseys, our ships, and oh, yeah, CRASHing hi-jacked planes into large buildings in major cities, plotting to shoot up malls, release posion gases in subways, and blow up trains.

Now it seems they are occupied in Iraq killing their fellow Muslims and providing target practice for our troops. Unless you'd rather go back to having them killing Americans over here you better be thankful we have young men brave enough to go kill them in their backyard.

It will be over as soon as the terrorist figure out we are not going to quit and there is no place where they can hide. That day will come a lot sooner if hand wringing whiners like yourself will get with the program and send a message to the terrorist we are not going to quit coming after them.

You're right. The sad thing is this war on terror is just a fake name so we'll go along with it. Iraq had NOTHING to do with 911. What war on terror? When the Reagan administration was caught selling arms to our enemies, they called it" arms for hostages"; yeah right! It was arms for money, but if they were going to admit to it, it was going to be arms for hostages. It's all a bunch of bull. They think we're stupid and from reading some of these other questions and answers AND the fact that this idiot was re-elected, I think they maybe right.

Good question. I vote to bring them home, or redeploy the entire group of soldiers in Afghanistan to hunt the real threat, Osama. But an even better idea is to have them here on southern border stopping the invasion of illegal aliens. I'm do not like paying taxes for an ill conceived war, when we have enough problems here also.

It will end when the Democrats take both the house and senate. Then, and only then will checks and balances be restored in government. Then we will see where the hundreds of billions of dollars have gone.

To sum it up in current political terms:

conservative: the corporation owns you and you are subject to the whims of the free market

liberal: the government owns you and you are subject to the whims of the government

either way we are screwed.

democracy doesn't work any better than socialism
