You just described my hair to a tee. As far as straightening goes, mine would never go all the way straight, looking like a haystack when I tried. All the products in the world would make it either too greasy, too crunchy, or just didn't work. Until I found my personal answer. I am a caucasian woman, but I find that using products specifically designed for black people's hair works wonders for me. It's worth a shot. Good luck!

my guess would be cut it short. depending on your face shape, short hair ussually looks really good. With short hair you can easily keep all that frizz and curlyness under control. Try like a pixie cut, or something that sienna miller had (just recently when it was short) most lickley your hair will look straight because curls dont normally form untill your hair gets a little longer. I'm not sure what your hair quite looks like so i cant be sure this'll work but I hope I helped anyway.

Holy shoot, I am the same way. What I do is put it in a bun for the whole day and try not to touch it too much. XD My hair's like a wild beast when it's not pulled back.

first of all apply a great mousse like biolage or garnier fructic style mousse, then spray sebastian shaper plus hair stray on wet hair, then blow dry with and cone shape defussor(head upside down) after every min. apply hair stray again don't worry the hair stray is great it will not make your hair sticky. good luck.

My hair is the same way.
I usually straighten it and put on some gel for fizzy hair or I scrunch my hair and put scrunch spray on it.
I also put it in a pony tail occasionally

straighten it before you go to bed, than all you have to do is touch up in the morning, and run just enough anti-frizz through it and go to school/work! but don't put too much anti-frizz, or it will look greasy! trust me, I experienced it!
