If the check is for more than the price, it doesn't matter where it is from, it is a likely a scam where they will tell you they made a mistake, and ask you to send the difference back. Then the check bounces, of course. If it is for the correct amount, then it is likely legitimate. You can hold your merchandise until the check fully clears, or I imagine you can phone the issuing bank to check on it. Truth be told, I have heard of the scam, but not from Canada.

that's crazy but today I just got a cashier check in the mail for two grand and it's from Canada I was thinking it might be but it likes as real as a check
