It happened all at once and I am guessing one of the programs or a virus on my computer did this. Does anyone know how to get my jpg files converted back from the .jpg.vem

You've more than likely downloaded and Installed a program that has associated itself with your files...(always check options before installing programs and check for file associations!!!)
The exact file information would have been more responsive to the needs of your computing abilities, however there is a web site source called FilExt.com.This particular file extension seems to suggest,1.MM Video E-Mail by Meta Media,Inc.,2.VeePro Embroidery Software Format,3. Voice E-Mail File-Free Player-voice/voice-e-mail.Due to the limited information provided this was all that http://www.filext.co provided. There is more available in case you are interested at http://www.filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=.vem&Search=search. There is quite a bit of information that could of been provided however because it is not provided in the query it will ultimately rest with the post as to the value of this information.

You can either open them in a picture editing software and go to "save as" and rename the file to whatever.jpg.

Or you can simply right click on the files and choose "Rename" and then delete the .vem and your done.
