I had to take care of my mom for over a month because she had surgery. She stayed here at my house with her little JRT. My mom went home Sunday. Now my Pug, Sandy won't hardly eat or drink. Is this because she misses the other dog and my Mom? She eats her treats when I give them to her, but she just nibbles at her food. The only time I give her treats is when she goes to potty, and that's like maybe 4 times a day.

Your pet may miss your Mom and the other dog,but if the pet hasn't been wormed lately, then that is probably your problem. You may need to change her food, but do so gradually by decreasing the food type she is on now,and increasing the chosen brand each day until you have her strictly on the chosen brand.I usually mix the Iams dry puppy formula with a small amount of a good brand of canned puppy food, this makes them eat it better and adds needed protein all pups need.Sometimes pets will eat better when another dog is present,as they're sorta like a child, they think one will get it all.

Get her a can of wet food and mix it with the dry. Try to get her to drink some pedalite or gatoraide.

If she likes people food, give her that for a while. But also give her vitamins while she's on people food. Then later on, gradually wean her back to dog food.
