My friend told me that in some states they are trying to pass laws that would confiscate property(ie cars houses) and money in bank accounts if owned by an illegal alien. Is this true and what states are trying to pass these laws?

Yes illegals can own property. I have a friend who is married to an illegal and he has a house and mortgage in his name. He has a bank account, and in fact a lot of illegals can get bank accounts now. And drivers licenses in a lot of states. Plus they can get an id at any mexican consulate called a matricula consular that can be used for many things like opening bank accounts and such. Illegals get a lot more perks than you think..and they can get health insurance too through anthem bc/bs that is offered out of the mexican consulates too.

Well if there is such a law they should start charging fines to all the Banks that have illegals open an account also gigantic fines to Real Estate Agents who sell property to illegal aliens.

Actually, I did read something in the news recently about that, but I can't remember where it was now. Anyways, I am pretty sure that most states have laws pertaining to the state being able to confiscate all property that was obtained through illegal activity. I would think "illegal" activity could be deemed as being in the USA illegally and also working under the table, or working using fraudulent and fake SSNs. I know that here in Canada, when people are busted in the drug business, i.e. "grow-ops," etc., if they own homes, cars and have money in the bank, this is usually confiscated from them because it can be construed that they obtained these assets through their illegal activities.

I do also believe that this should be done in the event of illegals being deported - everything they own of value should be confiscated and sold and the money should go into a fund set up to pay for the cost of the massive deportations we are looking at holding over the next years, as well as costs of increasing our border security and increasing our Immigration staff with updated computers and software, etc.

I don't believe it is legal to confiscate property without compensation and it is certainly illegally to confiscate money from bank accounts. However, it is within the USA right to deport illegal immigrants, and from this immigrants will indefinently loose property, though I'm not sure how bank accounts would be affected.

Don´t you see that illegals spend a lot of money in all those things you mentioned? Companies will try to make money regardless of their legal status. This can´t be stopped. Would you refuse the service If you were the owner of a Restaurant and had a lot of illegal consumers visit it who spend a lot of money in it?

Some states have laws that say people can't profit from their crimes. Since illegals make money by commiting a crime, I can see it happening.

That is a step foreword in the right direction, they came here illegally, and used fraud to obtain it at this countries expense, then by all rights that property they have obtained belongs to America.

I doubt they could, but illegals dont own property...except cars maybe, but those already go to impound and are eventually sold if not collected.
