Yeah, definately! Freedom of religion should protect this too, but i guess that's where conflict comes from...rights are so confusing =P

I live in a big city and people say Merry Christmas all during the season....maybe you need to move.

You can say anything you want if your vocal chords are working.
Free speech doesn't even come into it.
BUT if you say something like a threat on someones life- " I'm going to kill you, and your little dog too muhahaha" you could get arrested.
But you are still allowed by law, and free by your vocal chords to say it, just not allowed to do the killing part..

Only if atheists are allowed to tell them than Christmas is actually copped from an earlier Roman pagan holiday that, among other things, involved a week of drunken debauchery.

Legally, you need to follow whichever laws your religion makes and whatever laws your government makes but you cannot apply religous laws to government in America. However, the use of the "X" in refering to following Jesus was originally the only way for christians to signal their meeting halls when Paul was persecuting them...so its honoring the original followers of Jesus when you use the "X".

yes they should. if the jewish can say happy hanikah (i can't spell that) then other people should be able to say merry christmas
