It is going to be somewhat difficult to make this a good translation, and I am sure that most fluent speakers of Japanese would wonder what a 'Pitiful Shadow' is, and how a shadow could be cloaked in darkness (as a shadow is darkness - or more precisely, the absence of light), but I have never been that into poetic verbage, so here goes nothing . . .

Aware na kage ga kurayami o oou.
Furumai ga itami to kurushimi o motarasu.
Kukyo na tamashi wa anata no tsumi de kurushimeru.
Shi o mite mitai no ka?

It would take a lot longer to attempt to put this into poetic verse, but this translation should be understandable.
