If you have already filed your taxes for a certain year, you cannot file again for that year using 1040EZ or 1040A. You would have to file an amended return.
If you have filed for previous years with 1040 and would like to use 1040EZ or 1040A for this year, go ahead, as long as you fit the criteria for people who are allowed to use those forms. You might even try calculating your taxes using both forms and seeing which one gets you a better return.

Unless you were changing some of the figures, there would be no reason or advantage to going from a 1040 to 1040A or EZ - the tax would come out the same.
Going the other way could sometimes make sense though. For example, if you filed a 1040EZ, but then found out you'd been eligible for some credit which isn't allowed on EZ, or maybe that itemizing deductions would benefit you. But you wouldn't actually refile at that point on the other type of 1040 form, but would file an amended return.

Sure. As long as you qualify to file the 1040 EZ or 1040A.
If you itemize your deductions then you can't file the EZ.

If it is already filed, you probably should stick with it. But if you do want to file another form, you must file a 1040X with the internal revenue service, and then file your 1040ez. If you haven't mailed it in destroy it, download an EZ and then go for it.

Why bother if you have already filed. It won't get you a different answer. Use the appropriate form next year.
